This week in San Francisco, GDC Developer Conference (GDC) is taking place-a big event for the creators. And right next to the conference, an unusual billboard appeared, attracting the attention of people. It describes bald character Gunther Harrison from the Revenge of the Savage Planet game, and it has been written on the head: Some recently fired you? You can help you support emotions. This is a joke of Fila Harrison, a former head of Google Stadia, who left the company two years ago after the failure of the project.

Phil Harrison is the face of Stadia – a cloud service for the games that Google closed in 2022. After that, he suddenly fired many developers, including Typhoon Games group, which Google bought to create exclusive types. These people later gathered as Raccoon logic and is currently releasing a new game. A billboard is not only a joke, but also an action: for each QR code scan on it, they donate money to support mental health in Canada.
Six years ago, Harrison promised GDC that Stadia would change the game world, but everything ended in failure. Now developers reminded this with a smile, showing the old discontent did not forget.
