The famous journalist from Perm Natalya Balyakina died, her lawyer Alexei Shardakov declared this on Thursday, he appointed that she was sick, but the cause of death was not known.
Balyakina has diabetes and hypertension, Shardakov said RIA «News».
The guard added that the journalist spent four months in the cryptocurrency detention center, which could not affect her health.
Balyark was accused of an article on blackmail. Initially, it was ended in a detention center first, but then the restraint measure was changed into a home arrest, and then the ban on certain actions.
Her lawyer pointed out high age, disability and some serious diseases in customers.
Local media, referring to FSB, stated that Balyakina was accused of extending 500,000 rubles from the president of Duma of the city of Tchaikovsky Mikhail Shubin.
Natalya was the editor of the newspaper Tchaikovsky Vedomosti from 2014 to 2018 and was registered as an individual businessman specializing in publishing newspapers by 2021.
