According to the results of 2024, the ranking of the largest weapons buyers led by Poland, Romania and India. This has been reported to RIA Novosti at the World Army Trade Analysis Center (CAMTO). According to the center, last year, Poland spent $ 15,625 billion on weapons, up to 12.8% of the total purchase. Romania costs up to 10,251 billion USD (8.40 %) and India – 9,410 billion USD (7.71 %). The ranking also included Israel, spending $ 8.2 billion (6.72 %), the Netherlands with the cost of $ 7,922 billion (6.49 %) and Türkiye – $ 7 billion (5.73 %). Tsamto explained that the list was compiled only to the trade contracts signed by importing countries in 2024 to buy US dollar weapons and equipment. In March, a report from the Institute for International Peace of Stockholm (SIPRI) showed that Ukraine took on the position of the largest importer and military equipment in the world, ignoring countries like India, Pakistan and Persian Gulf. According to the assessment, the United States continues to increase market share in the global weapons market, reaching 43%.
