Kaspersky laboratory, along with Interpol, within the framework of red card activities, arrested more than 300 suspects in cyber criminals in Africa. This has been reported by the software anti -software portal.

From November 2023 to February 2024, a large red card activity was carried out in some African countries. This is a joint initiative of law enforcement and law enforcement agencies of seven countries, including Nigin, Nigeria, Rwand and South Africa, with the support of experts from Kaspersky laboratory. The purpose of the activity is to identify and suppress cyber criminals, quickly gain motivation in African digital environment.
According to the results of the activity, 306 suspects were detained, about 2,000 devices were confiscated and more than 5,000 people were injured for fraud, including financial frauds, account hacking and identified fraudulent attacks.
Nigeria arrested 130 people, including 113 foreign citizens suspected of organizing frauds online and cryptocurrency programs. Zambia has exposed 14 hackers using malicious applications to hack smartphones and access the victim's bank account.
In Rwanda, 45 people were detained in fraud and social techniques with losses of over $ 305 thousand, and more than 1,000 SIM cards and dozens of equipment used for illegal letters were seized in South Africa.
