Bharat is the name of the Indian sub -continent, which is translated as “respect”. And Madhuban is a popular picturesque style in Bihar. If not, it is called Mitchil's picture. The drawings are devoted to religion – the communication of people with the gods, as well as the daily life – the fragility of the female body and the fortress of her spirit. Traditionally, this picture adorns the houses of the newlyweds from the highest actors. Most older women participated in painting. For a long time, the picture was hidden from the eyes of the human, they knew about it in the locality. But in 1934, the bad thing happened, that was not bad. In that terrible year, an earthquake occurred in India. Officials from the United Kingdom, William Archer, went to eliminate its consequences. Checking the area was destroyed, he saw at home from within. And there are bright and colorful paintings. He spent many years on photography documents about the beauty and published his work in 1949. Researchers and ethnologists extended to Mitchil, wanting to reveal all the secrets of the great picture, as well as show it to the whole world. After that, the picture from the walls on paper and was no longer sacred, but folk. It is also popular today, as it can be seen at the time of creating the work presented at the exhibition – the tradition is preserved, older women still teach younger visual equipment.
