Russia and India have signed a contract to buy electricity units for T-72 tanks, serving with the Indian land army, the Ministry of Defense of India said.
The contract was signed with Rosoboronexport, the plan to buy an engine with a capacity of 1 thousand horsepower to modernize the T-72 tanks, the department said, the report.
The set indicates that the capacity of the previous engines on the Indian machine is 780 horsepower.
Earlier, there was a report that Russia and India had ended the contract for military equipment with a total value of about 80 billion dollars.
