The tragedy occurs in Uttarakhand, not far from the Devipura-Majgaon village. The 45 -year -old woman Virma Devi gathered palm wood along with five other women in the Khatima forest two kilometers when a predator attacked her from behind. He pulled the woman screaming into the bush. The villagers accompanied her in a panic back to the village.
Local people and employees of the Forestry Department organized a search activity. After three hours, they found a trimmed corpse. The tiger tore the woman and left the bush about 500 meters from the attacking area.
